Rasmus Lindqvist is a Finnish author, martial artist, and lifelong heavy metal fan. He re-discovered martial arts in his thirties, starting with Krav Maga before finding Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which has shaped the last decade of his life. Inspired by the lessons of discipline, resilience, and perseverance learned on the mats, he wrote *Iron and Blood*, his debut novel. A devoted fan of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Motörhead, and Tool, he lives in Finland, where the winters are long, the music is loud, and he has no plans to turn it down.
