R.D. Parrish is an American author of Southern and Appalachian Gothic, historical, and speculative horror. A Marine Corps veteran living in North Carolina, he draws from Southern folklore, history, faith, and forgotten places. His character-driven fiction explores grief, memory, family, belief, and the darkness lurking beneath the familiar. Whether the impossible comes from beneath the earth, out of the woods, or somewhere far above, Parrish asks what happens when ordinary people discover it is real.
