Prasad Giri is an American author with roots in Bangalore and the Godavari delta of Andhra Pradesh. He writes biographical fiction drawn from real family history and the Maya Iyer Mystery series — atmospheric detective novels set across the temples, backwaters, and ancient ruins of South India. The Kerala series spans eight novels; the Karnataka series is ongoing. His memoir works include Lakshmi Giri, Giriraj — Our Umbrella, and Under the Shade of the Mango Tree.
