I have a memory of of visiting my junior school headmaster to be commended for writing a comic book. However, for the next fifty years, I avoided serious writing in favour of sensible jobs. Nevertheless, I excelled at starting novels which I never finished.
The 2008 financial crisis gave me enough time to write my first novel. But when I became a hypnotherapist, writing was again pushed to one side.
The 2020 Covid lockdown finally pushed me into doing what I'd always dreamed of—making up stories.
I live in Devon with my wife and dogs. My two children are probably more grown up than I am.
