Oanh Ngo Usadi’s first book, "Of Monkey Bridges and Banh Mi Sandwiches, from Saigon to Texas," tells the story of her family's harrowing escape from Vietnam and their journey to become Americans in a small Texas town. Her latest book, “Hawker Dreams, a Vietnamese American in Singapore,” captures her recent experiences living as an expat in Singapore while exploring the themes of language, identity, belonging, and home.
Oanh's writing has appeared in the WSJ, WaPo, Forbes, NYT, and elsewhere. She has been featured in several podcasts including the Moth and Voice of America.
