Montaigne writes from the Mornington Peninsula, Australia, where he runs a horse farm while writing software by day, and builds worlds by night. A former peon for multi-nationals, he now is an equine operator, a software director, and songwriter, he works for himself at the junction of physics, myth, and music — Unobtainium began as a punk-rock concept album before it demanded prose. When not writing, he is composing, breaking Linux and servers on purpose, or standing in a paddock at dusk, listening for something breathing under the granite.
