Monica Mendoza is a Colombian-American journalist, filmmaker, and lecturer based in Miami. As a documentary filmmaker, she has directed award-winning productions that address issues of identity, self-love, and resilience, including The Awakening of the Fairies. After experiencing multiple personal losses, she trained as a grief coach and death doula, becoming a leading voice in emotional support.
