Matthew James Lawrence writes about the men who flew, and what the war did to them after the engines stopped. A pilot who soloed young and was later medically grounded, he holds an M.A. in History from Liberty University, focused on WWII and the early Cold War. In the 1990s and 2000s he befriended fighter pilots and aces from both sides of that war. When Eagles Fall comes out of those friendships. He lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife and two dogs.
