Maryam Jan Akbari is an Afghan-born, Sweden-based author, journalist, women’s rights advocate, and Identity & Visibility Coach. Her memoir, The Woman Who Refused to Be Silenced, explores identity, trauma, resilience, displacement, self-worth, and freedom. Through writing, coaching, and speaking, Maryam helps women unshame the stories they were taught to hide, reclaim their voices, and turn lived experience into confidence, visibility, leadership, and impact. Her mission is to remind women that silence was never their destiny, and their story can become a source of power and meaningful change.
