Joe IDAHO
Samuel W. Smith is the author behind Joe IDAHO and the Gem State Series. He grew up in a hundred-year-old farmhouse filled with antiques and surrounded by BLM land covered with fossils. This environment sparked Samuel’s lifelong fascination with the past and storytelling. He holds a BA and MA in Anthropology and once spent a summer walking and mapping the Oregon Trail. Samuel’s been a construction worker, an archaeologist, and a high school teacher. As Joe IDAHO, he writes historical and contemporary fiction inspired by the Gem State’s past and present.
