Jessie Mothersole (born Jessie Annie Smith; October 18, 1858 – August 1927) was a British author, playwright, and editor. She is known for her contributions to literature, particularly her works for children and young adults. She wrote under the pen names Mrs. C. H. B. Marriott, Mrs. Hungerford, and later as Jessie Mothersole.
