G.K. Roberts is a Welshman who grew up in the Dee Valley, on Garth Mountain and the Panorama above Llangollen, watching military jets fly low down the valley. A former builder and stained glass craftsman, he has spent years rescuing and fostering dogs, and they run through every one of his stories. The Lands of Dragons lived in his head for twenty years before he finally wrote them down. He writes for the story itself, and for the dogs.
