I grew up in the English Midlands and now write from Oregon, which means I've spent most of my life as the person slightly outside the frame—watching, listening, noticing the things people don't say out loud. That vantage point ended up being the whole point of my fiction.
I write queer stories across genres. A gaslamp city that runs on human souls. A serial-killer mystery in a small town that asks who, then asks why. A thriller about power and the poison it breeds. A romance that just wants to make you ache and then make it right.
