Dr J.K.M.H. Watson, M.D., served as Medical Officer to the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers and was wounded during the 2nd Afghan War, whereupon he returned to England and took up residence in London. It was there that he began his most celebrated partnership with Mr Sherlock Holmes of 221B Baker Street — a partnership that would span decades and encompass the most nstructive cases of the age.
An unknown fact about Watson was he was also suffering from memory loss at the time of his injuries. Holmes himself would fill Watson in of this in SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE TIDE WAITS FOR NO MAN CASE BOOKS.
