Chad Coplen didn’t arrive at writing through the expected door. He grew up on a self-sustaining farm in Eastern Washington, served as an Army medic, and taught himself CAD from a blueprint delivery job — eventually leading civil drainage for the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility, which survived back-to-back hurricanes with minimal damage.
He’s built things that last his whole life. Stories turned out to be another version of that. Cat People is his first horror anthology. He lives in Texas and is at work on Submerged, a Houston flood crime trilogy.
