Alexandrea Gill is a Deaf woman, mother, and writer living in New Zealand. She studied Deaf Studies at California State University, Northridge, where she deepened her understanding of Deaf culture, American Sign Language, and identity. Drawing on her lived experience, her writing explores communication, belonging, faith, resilience, and the search for connection. In 2018, a sudden outpouring of memory inspired her to begin writing the story she had carried for decades. She's Ready: A Deaf Woman's Journey from the Fringe to the Center is her debut memoir.
