At that moment, Annabelle emerged into her bedroom in her Powerpuff Girls pajamas, toting a stuffed teddy bear. She twisted her knuckle at the corner of her eye, sounding groggy as she spoke.
“Good morning, mommy.” Annabelle walked over to her mother.
“Good morning, beautiful.” Billie picked her up and sat her on her lap, kissed her on the cheek. “Where are you?” she said to God over the phone.
“I’m right outside, standing on the curb.”
“Oh my God, you’re really here?” Billie’s eyes bulged with surprise. She thought God was bullshitting her about being outside of her house, but he wasn’t. He was dead ass serious. “Look, God, I appreciate chu fixing my car, but you shouldn’t have come over to my house. I don’t bring my daughter around men I don’t know I’m seriously dating or not.”

“Well, technically, we aren’t dating yet. We’re just friends right now. And I brought my daughter with me, too.”
“Really? I didn’t know you hadda lil’ girl.”
“Now you do. And I’m sure she’d like to meet yo lil’ mama. Hold on.”
Right then, Billie overheard God say something to someone, and then a little girl came on the telephone.
“Hello, Ms. Billie. My name is Charity. Can you please come outside so I can meet you and your daughter?”
“Awwww,” Billie made a face like, She’s so precious. She hated to deny the little girl a chance of meeting her. And God did have a point. They weren’t technically dating yet; they were still just friends. So there wasn’t really a problem with her daughter meeting God and his little girl. “Tell yo daddy me and baby girl will be down in a second, okay?”
“Okay. We’ll see you then.”
Billie disconnected the call. She then slipped a hoodie on over her head, and placed her feet in a pair of lady Air Max sneakers. She had her daughter throw on a jacket and stuff her bare feet inside of her light-up sneakers. Annabelle grabbed her mother’s hand and allowed her to lead her outside, where God and Charity were awaiting them. Charity and Annabelle smiled big when they saw each other. Billie introduced the girls; thereafter, she introduced her daughter to God.
“Hello there, lil’ lady. It’s a pleasure to meet chu.” God smiled as he held Annabelle’s hand, leaning downward and kissing it.
“It’s a pleasure to meet chu too, God.” Annabelle smiled and giggled.
“You know you’re just as pretty as your momma?”
“Thank you. I get it from my mommy.”
“No doubt.” God looked Billie over like she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever laid his eyes on. She smiled and blushed.
“Come on, Ms. Billie—let me show you to your car.” Charity took Billie by the hand, leading her over to her car. God came behind Billie, placing his hands over her eyes.
“Wait a minute, what’s going on?”
“It’s a surprise,” Charity told her.
“Oh, goodie, mommy, I just love surprises!” Annabelle clapped her hands excitedly as she walked behind her mother, God and Charity.
“What’s the surprise? You just got my car fixed.”
“Something like that. Here we are. Now, on the count of three, I’m gonna take my hands from your eyes. One, two, three!”
God took his hands away from Billie’s eyes, and she jumped excitedly. Her eyes and mouth were wide open. She was greeted by a brand new cocaine-white 2019 BMW 5 Series 530i with blood red interior and matching red rims.
“Oh, my God! Oh, my God, this is mine? This is my car?” Billie asked God, holding him by his shoulders. A smirking God nodded. “Well, what happened to my old car?”
“Well, it needed quite a bit of work, so I got rid of it. I said, fuck it, lemme gon’ buy lil’ mama something new and fly. So, here we are. You wanna take her for a spin?” God held up the key to the luxury vehicle, wiggling it.
“Hell yeah, I wanna take her for a spin.” Billie snatched the key and went to run for her new car, but she doubled back. She narrowed her eyelids at him and said, with one of her hands on her hip, “What’s the catch? And don’t tell me there’s none ‘cause there’s always one.”
God threw up his hands and said, “There’s no catch. I’m just helping outta friend. We’re friends right?” He outstretched his hand.
“Yeah, we’re friends.” She shook his hand. “Now, y’all come on so I can take my new baby for a ride.”
Billie ran over to the BMW and jumped in, firing it up as everyone else was getting in. She looked through her rearview mirror, and then adjusted the side view mirror. Once she saw that no one was coming, she hit her turning signal and pulled out of the parking space into traffic. Billie whipped her car through the streets, banging Moneybagg Yo. The girls rode in the back playing patty cake and got to know one another. While this was going on, God was riding shotgun and telling Billie about everything the luxury vehicle had to offer. A second later Billie was jumping on the freeway, bringing the car up to top speed, punching out. The music was blasting, and the wind was whipping through everyone’s hair and ruffling their clothing.
