When I started Every in 2020 I wrote down a set of problems I thought I could work on for 10 years. At the top was: How do I help the best writers in the world get paid for their work?One of the biggest pleasures of running this company is not only that we get to pay writers for their work—but that we get to turn amateur writers into professionals. WhenEvan Armstrongstarted working with us, he’d never been paid to write. As of today, he’s been a full-time professional writer for three years, having published almost 500,000 words on Every.Now I get to watch another milestone in his journey: leaving Every to launch his own publication, The Leverage.
