On the threshold of the natural and the supernatural, Agent Elizabeth "Liz" Sharrow of the Dark Forest Police Department faces a new case that tests not only her bravery, but also her perception of reality. Together with her partner Bernard Abu-Jamal and her ambitious leader Max Allen, Liz is sent to investigate a series of disturbing events in the heart of Europe, in a place called Reich der Finsternis.
