About this audiobook
Doctor Teal was trying to cure a plague. Instead, he changed it—and himself.
After a desperate experiment ends in blood and fire, Teal leaves the ruins of Saint Orison carrying his journals, his guilt, and something unnatural in his veins. When his travels bring him to Bellweather, a quiet village plagued by disappearances and a bell that rings from an abandoned monastery, he discovers an infection unlike anything he has encountered before.
Beneath Bellweather, something ancient is waiting. Something that knows Teal. Something that remembers what he did at Saint Orison.
The First Patient is Chronicle One of The Chronicles of Dr. Teal, a dark fantasy series blending medical mystery, horror, dry humor, and the story of a physician determined to save his patients—even as he struggles to understand what he has become.
