After their grandmother’s death, Dara discovers a mysterious book called The Dark Tales that was never meant to be opened. When she reads from it, strange whispers rise from the iroko tree and unsettling events begin in their village. With her younger brother Tayo, she learns the tales must not only be read but completed differently. By rewriting one tragic ending, they restore balance temporarily. Yet a new story begins forming about Dara herself, revealing the darkness is now deeply connected to her fate.
