Sasha, a young woman who has heard mysterious frequencies her whole life, finds her way to the steps in Portland where listeners have gathered for generations. Elara, the current keeper of the legacy, teaches her to embrace the gift rather than fear it. When Sasha receives a letter from her dying father a listener she believed was dead she must confront her past and choose whether to carry the gift forward. Through loss, forgiveness, and the discovery of a young girl with the same abilities, Sasha learns that the need to be heard never ends, and neither does the song.
