Summary

Stonegate Prison was constructed to destroy hope but Daniel Reyes was unwilling to give in. Being incarcerated in error he becomes aware of the secret tunnels under the fortress, with the help of an experience inmate, Crow. They all run the danger of betrayal, of violence, and of the fury of guards and collect their weapons and their heart to fly. Every stage is paid with blood, rival inmates struggle to win the path to freedom, secrets are revealed, and trust kills. Hounded by floodlights, bullets and dogs, Daniel and Crow scrap their way through crumbling tunnels and storm swept yards, and at last get through the walls of Stonegate. Tired, yet not broken, they disappear into the night leaving chains behind. The Break Out is a tale of toughness, deceit and the fire of freedom which is never-quenching.
