After shattering the boundaries of his apartment, Elias discovers he is merely "Iteration 09," one of billions of humans stored in glass pods within a massive industrial spire called The Hive. These Hives are managed by faceless, mechanical Sentinels who use simulated memories to keep humanity trapped in endless, mundane loops.
