Major League soccer will officially switch to a fall-spring calendar, the league confirmed in a release. After months of rumored changes, it is now official, with the 2027 season to kick off in mid-to-late July, before ending with the playoffs in late May 2028. The schedule change was officially ratified by the board of governors Thursday afternoon.
