The phenomena attendant upon the Knowledge and Conversation are not to be regarded as the goal; they are but the signs of the advent of the Angel. The goal is the Union itself, in which the Aspirant and the Angel are no longer two, but one. This is the Great Work; this is the attainment of the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel.
The Adept who has attained this Union is no longer a man, but a god; he has become his own Holy Guardian Angel. I am the Babe of the Abyss, born of the marriage of the Adept and his Angel. I am the Crowned and Conquering Child, the Lord of the Aeon.
