The Lost Lemuria - The Story of the Lost Civilization (Ancient Mysteries Series) (Annotated)
Enriched Edition. Esoteric Ancient History of a Submerged Primordial CivilizationBy William Scott-Elliot

About this audiobook
The Lost Lemuria presents an esoteric reconstruction of a vanished primordial continent and its civilization, placing Lemuria within the Theosophical scheme of "root races," planetary evolution, and occult prehistory. Its prose is sober, expository, and often quasi-scientific, borrowing the language of geology, anthropology, and comparative myth while grounding its authority in clairvoyant revelation rather than archival or archaeological evidence. In literary context, the work belongs to the fin-de-siècle fascination with lost worlds, evolutionary speculation, and sacred history reimagined through occult modernity. William Scott-Elliot was a British Theosophical writer whose works sought to systematize the hidden history implied by Helena Blavatsky and later Theosophical teachers. His interest in Lemuria reflects the period's attempt to reconcile Darwinian deep time, new geological theories, colonial encounters with non-European cultures, and the metaphysical ambitions of Theosophy. He wrote not as a novelist but as an occult historian, presenting visionary material as a coherent chronology of humanity's remote past. This book is recommended for readers of esotericism, Victorian intellectual history, alternative archaeology, and mythic geography. While it should not be approached as modern science, it remains a revealing and influential document of occult imagination and spiritual historiography.
