About this audiobook
The third Tompkins novel is set in multiple locations including the Persian Gulf and the island of Cyprus. What starts off as a holiday for Tom when he accompanies Baz, his partner, to Arabia, soon becomes a full blown murder investigation with international ramifications. Together with his dedicated team in Thornham, Tom has to tackle the dark side of global arms trading, governmental bidding on defence contracts and the threat of organised crime. We see how the characters in the series grow and develop under his leadership and the way in which he does his best to deal with a series of criminal investigations both at home and abroad. We are also introduced to a charismatic person who will have a significant influence on him in the years to come.
