As we head back to the car, I glance over my shoulder at the new compound being built and think about my life. Like our clubhouse, it’s also under construction, but when it’s finished, something pretty good will be there. I can only hope the same can be said for me. All I know is that with this woman by my side, I’m going to give it every chance. I’m going to be the best man I can be for her because she deserves it.
She’s worth it.
