Beyond was a chamber so vast it made the platform seem microscopic. The walls, if they could be called that, were covered in machinery of impossible complexity, gears and conduits and crystalline structures that pulsed with energy. At the center of the chamber, suspended in the air, was a sphere of dark metal covered in intricate engravings.
