About this audiobook
The Battle of Waterloo was fought on Sunday, June 18, 1815, near the village of Waterloo (then in the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, now in Belgium), marking the end of the Napoleonic Wars. The French Imperial Army, under Napoleon I, was defeated by two armies of the Seventh Coalition. In my historical analysis, I will use a counterfactual study ("what if…") – or as I call it, a historical simulation – of this campaign presented in the book "On Waterloo: Clausewitz, Wellington, and the Campaign of 1815", edited by Christopher Bassford, to which I now add some ideas from the "Myths and Controversies" section of the book "The Waterloo Companion" by Mark Adkin. In developing the simulation of this battle, I will use the board game "Waterloo, Napoleon's last battle" by Phalanx Games.
