Thirteen-year-old Renna Blackwell never expected her summer job at the dusty antique shop to lead anywhere except minimum wage and boredom. But when she discovers a hand-drawn map tucked inside a century-old atlas, everything changes. The map shows her own neighborhood, except the streets curve in impossible ways and buildings exist that were never built.
When she follows the map to an abandoned subway station, she finds a doorway painted with stars that shouldn’t glow. Beyond it lies Argentum, a city built entirely of living silver where cartographers create reality itself. Every line they sketch brings new streets into existence.
But someone is stealing the master maps, erasing entire districts from existence. Armed with an inexplicable talent for seeing the true shape of things, Renna must learn the dangerous art of reality cartography before the entire silver city fades into forgotten legend.
