In the poverty-stricken village of Kuru, Adewale turns to forbidden gold mining to save his dying mother. Alongside his daring friend Bala, he discovers the Whispering Tunnels, a hidden shaft filled with gold and the bones of miners who perished before them. Betrayed by a corrupt trader, they are captured by soldiers, but the cursed treasure awakens. Whispers echo through the forest, the ground splits, and lives are swallowed by the earth’s fury. Bala succumbs to greed, while Adewale loses everything, including his mother. Rejecting the cursed gold, Adewale chooses to protect his sister and walk away from the darkness.
