They Picked the Wrong Mother
A Mother's Fight for Her Son's Educational RightsBy Cheri Amour MahanRecorded TrackLength5h 26m
About this audiobook
When Weston Public Schools told Cheri Amour Mahan there was no place for her son Shane, she didn't accept it. For seven years she documented everything — every email, every unanswered question, every decision made without her. They had attorneys. She had the truth.
They Picked the Wrong Mother is a memoir and a manual. It is the story of one mother's fight for her son's right to attend his own neighborhood school — and a guide for every parent who has ever been told to sit down, trust the system, and stop asking questions.
Shane graduated on time. He is now a college student and football player. The fight continues.
You are not just part of your child's IEP team. You are the chair of it.
