The Light That Should Not Burn
A Gothic Horror Tale of Haunted Lighthouses, Drowned Guilt, and the Flame Beneath Outer SkellBy Isolde Ravenscar
Length52m
About this audiobook
Some lighthouses guide ships to safety. Others keep something far worse beneath the sea.
When disgraced signalman Elias Morven accepts a lonely keeper’s post at the isolated Outer Skell Lighthouse, he believes he has come to the island to disappear alongside his guilt. Instead, he finds a decaying tower where the previous keeper vanished without explanation, dead voices echo through the stairwell after dark, and the lighthouse beam seems to call to something moving beneath the waves.
As storms close in and ghostly ships begin appearing beyond the reef, Elias uncovers the horrifying truth hidden below Skell: the light is not a warning beacon — it is part of an ancient bargain feeding on guilt, duty, and the men chosen to keep it burning. But if the flame ever dies, the thing beneath the island may finally rise.
Some lights save lives.
Outer Skell demanded sacrifices.
