In February 2020, South African couple Josh and Nadine travel to the Italian ski resort of Cortina in a last-ditch effort to save their strained relationship. However, their arrival in Italy coincides with the terrifying early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. For a brief moment, the holiday works, and they reconnect. But this illusion is shattered when the government announces a total lockdown. To combat boredom and despair, Nadine proposes a storytelling project, inspired by Boccaccio's "The Decameron." Through these stories, the guests reveal their deepest selves. This creates a fragile community, but it also becomes a catalyst for crisis between Josh and Nadine. In a devastating confession told as a fairy tale, Nadine reveals her dark secret. This revelation shatters Josh. The couple's relationship collapses under the weight of this secret, amplified by the pressure cooker of the lockdown. Josh must confront not only Nadine's betrayal but also his own role in their estrangement.
