From Misdiagnosis to Self‑Reliance: A Cross‑Border Memoir of Survival and Personal GrowthBy Cristina Mihaela AlexescuRecorded TrackLength6h 12m
About this audiobook
Ninth Floor by Cristina M. Alexescu is a raw, honest, and unexpectedly funny memoir about survival, reinvention and finding yourself when life refuses to go according to plan.
After leaving behind a difficult relationship in the UK, Cristina returns to Romania hoping for a fresh start. Instead, life sends her to Germany, where she faces bureaucratic chaos, housing disasters, cultural confusion, and the looming reality of a critical surgery.
Told with dark humor, sharp observation, and emotional honesty, Ninth Floor explores what happens when everything falls apart at once — and you somehow keep going anyway.
Through heartbreak, absurd situations, resilience and moments of unexpected laughter, Cristina rebuilds her sense of self while learning that healing is rarely graceful… but sometimes it can be strangely funny.
Perfect for readers who enjoy deeply personal memoirs with both emotional depth and humor.
