Mac is nearly hit by lightning, but survives; with two reminders of how close she came to death; a scare and the ability to hear a killer's voice in her head. She sets out to stop the killer before it is too late, with the help of friends, family and a mystic kitten. The strike has also brought her help from a new source, one she has a hard time believing in: the Fairy Realm. Set in a small coastal Florida town, Mac calls on help from the citizens of the town and sets out to stop a killer before it is too late.
