Initially a Loyalist who helped suppress the Regulator uprising, Hooper was attacked by a mob and forever changed. He burned every bridge to his past and became a committed patriot. This complete 4-episode series follows his journey: his painful break with the Crown, his steady signature on the Declaration, his principled postwar advocacy for moderation and reconciliation with former Loyalists, and the heavy personal toll — malaria, gout, and declining health that ended his life at only forty-eight. A brother of Hanover Lodge, Hooper lived by the square even when it cost him popularity, choosing principle over vengeance in victory.
