What if Jesus had a dog? A dog that trotted along beside him from Capernaum to Calvary? A dog that understood far more than any of the disciples. A dog that would protect him with his life if he felt it were necessary? What difference would that have made in the lives of Jesus and the disciples? Those questions are answered in Waldo Maccabees, In the Footsteps of Christ. Along the way, the book's firm foundation of solid research puts familiar stories in their proper historical and sociological perspective, giving them a new and deeper meaning than ever before.
