THE WORLD IN MY EYES: a letter from a child's eyes to a vanishing world
By Tuğba ÖzsoyLength1h 34m
About this audiobook
The World in My Eyes began with a simple, impossible question: what does it look like when a child's whole world disappears — not all at once, but piece by piece, until even the sky feels unfamiliar? I didn't want to write about war in the way the news does, with numbers and headlines that are easy to scroll past. I wanted to write about a pigeon named Dawn. A spare pen carried "just in case." A duvar left standing after everything else has fallen. The small, unbearably human details that statistics can never hold.
Lina, my narrator, is fictional. But her voice carries something real — the voice of every child who has had to grow up too fast, in a home reduced to rubble, still finding a reason to notice a star, a laugh, a loaf of bread.
