After the American Civil War, freedom was declared for all slaves. Some white man went to tell about the liberation to a slave farm. The slaves refused to believe the great message of the messenger and continued their toil. Then the courier exposed her breast, which had scars on it. He pointed them out and told of the wounds he had received in the struggle for the freedom of slaves.
