A traveler named Daniel Mercer accidentally stops in the mysterious town of Hollow Creek, where strange lanterns keep terrifying wandering figures trapped in the surrounding fog. As the lanterns begin to fail, Daniel learns the town survives only if someone remains behind to keep the light alive and hold the darkness back. Faced with the choice between escape and sacrifice, he carries the central lantern into the streets, driving away the shadows and restoring hope to the forgotten town.
