Cannabis also found its way into Indian medicine, where it was used to treat a variety of ailments. As time passed, cannabis spread to different parts of the world. It reached the Middle East and Africa, where it continued to be valued for its medicinal properties. Arab traders brought cannabis to the eastern Mediterranean and North Africa, and it eventually made its way to Europe.
