Stephen Moorehouse’s uncle, famous movie director Phillip Kahle, decides it is time for Stephen to direct his first movie - a low budget Indy horror film. One problem, Stephen’s not so sure he’s ready.
Phillip tells Stephen he is also in charge of picking a location, which turns out to be a rundown farmhouse outside a small town in Michigan’s wild and remote Upper Peninsula. But there is one issue, the house comes with a war veteran who does not like strangers or a change in his routine.
A problematic leading man, a missing high school girl, and a friend of a friend who decides to write a book about the small town’s only unsolved murder, like all of James R. Nelson’s mystery novels, present several independent plot lines which merge into a page turning ending that will not soon be forgotten.
