About this audiobook
We all come to the fork in the road many times every day, every week. What was your last fork and where did the road lead? Choice, Chance, and Repercussion face each of us when we decide to go left or right. Reflecting later was it a good or poor choice? Did it yield wealth or disaster? Should we have taken greater care?
These 25 stories examine those possibilities in various genres: general, romance, adventure, mystery, crime, fable, and fantasy—whatever your leaning you will find something to your taste here. Many of the stories follow the characters down the second fork and in some cases, even a third one.
The author hopes you enjoy the stories and are well satisfied with the journeys taken.
Eric Drysdale lives in Sydney, Australia, where many of the stories have been set. He became an insurance agent late 1981 and after forty-one years, at the age of seventy-seven, retired at the end of June 2023 to concentrate on his writing. With over four decades of experience it was only natural that some of the characters found themselves, for good or ill, in insurance plots. For decades Eric has had a fascination with what he refers to as “The Fork in the Road Syndrome,” both in what he writes and reads. About half the stories that make up The Fork in the Road series have been published or broadcast before. Choice, Chance, and Repercussion are equally evident in his novel The Price to Pay, a political thriller set on Amity, a fictional island off the east coast of Australia, which he expects to publish late 2025.View all by Eric J.
