Helena Vasconcelos and Miguel Ferrão, two esoteric researchers and guardians of ancient secrets, are back in Portugal after the defeat of the **Order of the Black Veil**. However, what they thought would be a period of peace quickly turns into a new race against time. Upon receiving an enigmatic message from a missing colleague, they are taken to the **Batalha Monastery**, one of Portugal s Gothic jewels, where they come face to face with a thousand-year-old mystery. The message reveals the existence of a **lost manuscript**, hidden deep within the monastery, which supposedly contains secrets about a rival organization to the **Order of the Black Veil** — an even older group, whose roots date back to the times of the Knights Templar. This manuscript is said to contain information about a **power device**, buried at the time of the Battle of Aljubarrota, capable of shaping the future of humanity. Helena and Miguel are drawn into a web of conspiracies involving Portuguese history, ancient codices and occult symbols carved into the monastery itself. With enemies lurking around every corner, including a shadowy new adversary who seems to know their steps before they take them, the two are forced to unravel a puzzle of Latin riddles, Templar secrets and historical clues that link the past to the present. Time is running out for them, and the discovery of this ancient secret could not only rewrite the history of Portugal, but also change the fate of the world forever.
