Jonah and Emily confront the spreading darkness haunting Ashford. As fog covers the town and people disappear, they enter the old mill to face the faceless shadow figure. Using chalk patterns and careful strategy, they trap and restrict the creature, learning that it feeds on fear. Though the battle nearly overwhelms them, they outthink the entity and contain the shadows within a grid. By dawn, the town begins to recover. The darkness isn’t gone forever, but Jonah and Emily now understand its limits and stand ready to protect Ashford if it returns.
