The town sits on the edge of the Glassing, a scar left by a buried terraforming engine. Mirage-quakes bend
reality, shadows lag behind their owners, and the sun sometimes threatens to rise from underneath.
Four unlikely figures find themselves knotted at the center: a sheriff with orders he can't follow, the engineer
whose mistake broke the world, an outlaw whose shadow moves on its own, and a seer who hears the engine's song in
their bones.
As the Second Sunrise builds toward a reset that would wipe Rustglass clean, they must journey into the heart of
the machine. It wants a simple planet. They'll have to convince it to settle for a complicated one.
A sci-fi western about sacrifice and the stubborn refusal to let the math decide who survives.
