About this audiobook
The story centres around Pip (Philip) and his sister Pipette (nicknamed after their doctor father's surgery equipment). Pip is a solid, outstanding sportsman who, in this day and age might be thought of as an Aspergers sufferer. He doesn't 'get' most of what goes on around him and proceeds to do just what he wants. He's not clever and it takes him a long time to get through school and then perform just as badly at college. He is however, an outstanding cricketer and a trusty and loyal friend, unswerving in his attachments. The book covers his escapades from a very young boy to when he is old and mature enough to settle down, going through the loss of his family income and having to work from the bottom up in a car manufacturing works.
